# PDF verification teaching fixture: source-check checklist This package is a synthetic teaching fixture. It is not a benchmark, a claim about product detection, or legal advice. 1. Confirm that `verification-fixture-old.pdf` is the older file and `verification-fixture-new.pdf` is the newer file. 2. Check the Approval table on page 1 in both files. Read the row label, amount, and currency together. 3. Search both files for the acceptance sentence. Record that it moved from old page 1 to new page 2 without a wording change. 4. Visually inspect `PROJECT TIMELINE`. The newer version changes emphasis only. 5. Read the scan-quality/OCR warning on page 1. Compare rendered output with extracted text before relying on a low-quality scan. 6. Record the page and section reviewed, plus any uncertainty that requires a human decision. ## Reproduction Run `ruby scripts/generate_pdf_verification_fixture.rb` from the Rails application directory. The generator uses only Ruby standard-library facilities and produces deterministic PDFs.
